Summer style for a young guy

*Apologies for my bad English. I still could write this in Finnish so..*

Summer is at its best and it’s now or never to wear those loose shorts and tees or just rock out without shirt. That’s when being alone in your backyard. When you’re about to head downtown you don’t want to look like you’re going to the beach or something (unless you really are).

I’ve made few looks that I, 17-years-old high school student wear. These are really simple outfits that anyone can pull off. Just remember to trust your own taste, if you like what you see in the mirror you’re doin’ it right.

If you want to wear shorts in a town it’s ok. Just make sure that they are tailored, not like those you wear to the beach. Throw in a slim fit polo shirt, pair of Cons, classic shades and you’re ready to go. If you dare to wear socks you will suffer.

Then something little more dressed up. I love to pair a pair of light blue washed “daddyjeans” with a casual, blue blazer. You can pair almost any shirt with these two buddies. My favourites are basic white and blues and also little wilder madras plaids. Just add white pocket square with a colorful edge, wowen belt and suede monks without socks. When it gets hot or if you just want to just dress down, take the jacket off and roll up the sleeves.

Then comes my favourite look. Nice soft blue jacket with a pair of white trousers - an ultimate summer look. This is what your grandfather wore back in the old days and back then they knew how to be stylish. Don’t be afraid that you will look like him. This is totally good for young guy with slim trousers and washed jacket. It’s summer you don’t need socks. Knit tie optional. Perfect for relaxed parties, or just for walking around downtown, girls will like it too.

Basically you can’t go wrong with shades of white and blue. And what ever you do, do it with style and don’t forget to enjoy the summer.
